Butter Chicken
Butter Chicken is probably the most popular dish inspired by India seen on Pub menus. This mild curry contains marinated chicken pieces served with rich creamy gravy of yoghurt, garam masala, ginger, garlic, lemon, pepper, coriander cumin turmeric and a touch of chilli and tomato. The dish is not a hot or strong flavoured curry it has a delicate and fresh taste. The curry is usually served with white rice and often a pappadam or two or sometimes even a roti or naan bread. The origins of the dish come from New Delhi and variations can be found all over the world.
